10 Contradictions Every Parent Has Said At Least Once

1
As I navigate the minefield of parenthood, I can’t help but notice how my emotions flip-flop from complete elation to downright defeat, and back again in a matter of hours. The contradictory cliques spill out of my mouth quicker than an infant with reflux.

It’s so shockingly extreme sometimes that I can’t help but giggle.

Here’s just a few of the ones I’m guilty of:

1.I’m never doing that again…  Shall we have another one 😍?

2.I really need a break 😤…  Mummy missed you!

3.I think she’s just bored…

Maybe she’s overstimulated 😵?

4.I’m a bit worried, he doesn’t talk much…  BE QUIET 🤬!!!

5.JUST GO TO SLEEP!…  She’s very quiet – I better check she’s OK 😨.

6.HURRY UP!…  SLOW DOWN 😱!

7.Oh, when will you grow up?!…  Aw, when did you get so big 😘?

8.I wish he’d be more independent…  I hate that he doesn’t need me anymore 😭

9.I can’t wait until he goes to school…  I can’t believe my baby’s starting school😁!

10.I WANT MY LIFE BACK!…  I

can’t imagine life without them…❤️

Kids make you fall apart and complete all at the same time. They give us the best, yet hardest, times of our lives. One thing’s for sure, we love them through it all; ups downs, forwards backwards, left right, north south, around in a circle, back to the start – you get the picture!

It’s a mess, but it’s our mess.

And we wouldn’t change it for the world.

Can you relate? Please tell me it’s not just me! I’d love to hear your comments.
