3 WAYS… THE BLAZER

1
We’re all feeling it, the chill in the summer air as autumn reminds us it’s just around the corner. It’s no bad thing, in fact, many fashion types take the autumn/winter wardrobe and its many delights (cashmeres, camel, roll-necks, chunky boots) way more seriously than the fripperies of summer. For me, it always comes as a bit of shock and then I adjust and embrace (a bit like motherhood, ahem).

So say hello to my super beautiful but super practical latest purchase, a rather cool little blazer in caramel. This blazer is so ridiculously versatile

I could have easily shown you more than three looks, but I’ll leave the rest to your imagination… Every stylish mama needs one of these in her wardrobe to throw on for any, I emphasize, any occasion this autumn. Chic, warm, compatible – a sartorial triptych no less.

An accidental suit – these trousers are actually by Boden, but what a great colour match – and a super fine rock n’ roll tee. I love how covering up with tailored pieces can be off-set with the chunkiness of Birkenstocks. Keep the style ante on the up by contrasting the rough with the smooth.

Culottes are perfect for those days when you’re feeling a little less than super mum. They slim you at waist with their big flared out legs and have a lovely air of louche elegance. Black is the new black is the new black and

all black outfits are a magical place of styling simplicity (both visually and in the putting on!). Sorry back in the Birkenstocks, because I’m addicted and have about four pairs this summer!
