3 WAYS: VINTAGE SCARVES

1
A pile of colourful vintage scarves should be tucked away in every mama’s wardrobe. They are so useful – perfect for dressing up an outfit in seconds, ideal for nursing in public or covering up unwashed hair! And you can pick them up nice and cheap from most vintage shops or markets. Obviously, we’ve all worn one round our necks – did you know this season is all about the ‘bib’ style? Not my preferred look, but one the little ones can rock, maybe? Anyway, here are my three favourite ways to wear a vintage scarf.

was seen at New York Fashion Week and it’s a great way to add a little extra chic to your outfit.

• Fold your scarf from both sides, so no corners are poking out.
• Put your hair in a ponytail and tie the scarf over the elastic securely.
• Cross-wrap the scarf down the length of your hair and secure at the end with a knot.
• Coil and pin. I used about five to six kirby grips to keep it in place.
• Spray with hairspray if you’re a product addict like me!

creative. I used a thinner scarf to achieve this neat look.

• Fold your scarf from both sides so it’s nice and thin.
• Start a little way up your handle and wrap one side around the other length.
• Knot at bottom and then tie in a bow tucking in any loose ends.

The Scarf Belt
Ridiculously simple! Perfect for accenting your waist or disguising a fraying waistband.

• Fold into a triangle and knot at one side around you waist.
