7 Reasons You Should Start a Mom Blog

1

When I started blogging it was just something to do but as time passed it became something I loved. I’ve talked to a few mommy bloggers and they agree that blogging has enriched their lives for the better.
7 Reasons You Should Start Your Mom Blog
Here are few reasons you should start a mom blog if you’re on the fence:
A Place to Vent
Many of you would agree that momming can be quite a lonely job. Sure, you have your kids with you all of the time, but then the conversation is often limited to Peppa Pig and dinosaurs. As much as we love our

kiddos, a  person can only take that much of a kid talk.

With a mom blog, you can create a community of like-minded moms. You’ll find that you have someone who is always going through what you are suffering from. From exhaustion to meal planning, there’s someone who wants to share their experiences with you. You will also find as you vent your feelings, there comes a feeling of contentment versus resentment.
Let’s You Try New Things
Since I started blogging, I realized how much more open I am to new experiences. I like to try new things and

share them with my followers if its something I know they’ll love.

To be honest, I strive to improve myself as a parent as well. I feel like I’m inspiring others with my journey as a mom by letting other moms know, its not always easy. That conscious change has been an uplifting part of my life and has helped foster confidence in both me and my kids.
Learn Something New
Whenever I am crafting a new blog post, I do a lot of reading and researching. I learn something new frequently and I’m often putting a lot of my learning to use as a

parent.

I’m also a part of a lot of discussion groups on parenting and even in those groups, I feel I’m exposed to a lot of information that I maybe wouldn’t have tapped into previously.
Make Memories
A blog is more like a journal for you. You can record your thoughts on your blog. You can save pictures. They will always be there for you and your family to see later. Twenty years from now, you can look at your blog and cherish those memories. Otherwise, we rarely take pictures of simple things in our lives.

And as you record your thoughts

and your memories, your blog allows you to reflect on your life. You are able to see your life from a different perspective. You think about what your readers would think of you when they read about you and your life. That’s refreshing perspective improves your parenting a little bit every time.
Side Job
Initially, your blog won’t make you money, but if you are consistent with your blog you could be earning good money soon enough. Typically it can take around six months to two years. Some bloggers have quit their full time jobs because their blogs

are earning them way more than their jobs.

Even if you don’t need the money to pay bills, blogging can earn you money for occasional nights out and babysitting and sometimes that is all you need.

However, if you plan on making money through your blog, you need to figure out how you want to earn your income. Some ways you could make money are:

● Affiliate Marketing
● Sponsored Posts
● Sell products or services
● Sell courses and ebooks.

journey as a blogger. I read more. I experienced more. And this improved my confidence and my general state of well-being.

Through blogging, I have also made new friends. I have been invited to mom and blog meetups many times. There’s a whole new community once you dive into the blogging world. I don’t even have to leave my house to talk to be a part of the community either.
