About five years ago, I wrote a piece for Selfish Mother about hygge. Hygge is the idea of finding comfort, pleasure and warmth in simple things. parent, sometimes the day can seem long, and by mid-afternoon a slump can set in. However, there is a pick-me-up solution that doesn’t include circling the biscuit tin, but still involves snacking.
‘Beauty snacking’ is the art of taking a beauty shot that combines relaxation and pleasure with a well-deserved break. The idea is to get invigorated and energized by giving yourself micro sessions of self-care in between everything else you do during the day.
