I'm the working mum of a toddler and a baby with a borderline obsessive interest in fashion and beauty. When my eldest daughter was little, I spent a lot of time bemoaning the many things I used to do and enjoy, having convinced myself that becoming a parent meant letting go of trivial pursuits (as in frivolous pastimes, not as in the board game. Obviously I still played that daily). Then I realised I could still embrace the gloriously shallow aspects of life while working hard and mumming even harder. With that in mind, I (attempt to) give practical advice about parenting, but I also offer less practical advice about fashion and beauty, and sometimes even make pointless observations on everyday life. Because, to my utter relief, you can love your kids and still love all sorts of other crap.
