Can we still be friends??

Ok, so before I start this is not a dig at any of the yummy mummies out there that are following a diet plan or who go to regular exercise classes! Nor do I think I have the perfect figure, its just recently I have felt a little bit excluded from conversations at the school gates. This is because I am not part of the diet and exercise circle. I am ’ok’ with my figure and couldn’t afford to do much of this, I also have 2 demanding children and not a lot of spare ’me time’.

staying healthy and we get to see everyone’s progress through social media but sometimes I feel that not being part of these clubs means being left out of conversations, I don’t know all the different certificates and I haven’t got a clue about ’syns’ (not of the diet type anyway!) but I still eat a healthy diet and like to exercise I just don’t belong to a specific ’club’.
I sometimes think why am I always knackered? Am I not doing enough, as a lot of other mums seem to have the time and energy to go to classes, calories count, cut out

certain foods and still manage to prepare a fantastic meal that caters for all the family? But then I try and remind myself that everybody is different and everybody leads different lifestyles, I am not getting it wrong because I still use an old crappy sit up machine in the morning before the kids get up or that I put a lot of running around after the kids down as exercise! Nor are the kids missing out because I’m not given them Juice Plus chews they are getting Bassetts soft and chewy vitamins!. Good self-esteem and a healthy lifestyle are very

important but surely it doesn’t need to be the topic of every conversation?
