Broken Fanny: An evening of comedy and charity, raising awareness and funds for maternal mental health.
Broken Fanny is a one-woman show following a first-time mother’s struggle through the early days. Tackling the unspoken feelings of despair and trapped isolation, social pressures of perfection and ‘expected happiness’ from well-meaning choruses that this should be ‘the best time of your life’.
A funny and moving show for all women who have discovered that effortlessly wafting about, contented babe in arm, is a highly edited version of reality. All of us have felt that everyone else is doing a better job. Yet none of us really has a clue what we’re doing. Let’s talk about that.
Doors 7:30pm. Show starts 8pm.
There will be a post-show talk on all the issues raised, including identity, instincts, guilt, confidence, relationships and more. With writer and performer Emma Jerrold, and hosted by Happiness Coach Olivia Horne.
Goodie bags and prize draw on the night including generous donations from Space NK, Vinoteca, The Mother Box, &Breathe Postnatal, As Nature Intended, Foxlow, SevenSeventeen, This Mama Does, Stella&Dot, Crumbs Couture, British Indian Kitchen, This Wholesome Life and loads more!
