‘I am a Bad Mum, fact or feeling?’ – Life Coaching by Effective Thoughts

The workshop will look at how we can sabotage our own well-being by believing our negative thoughts. We will look at cognitive distortion; the problems with perfectionism and comparison; and the impact of accepting our critical internal chatter. This interactive workshop will explore how to work on emotional intelligence, and how to turn toxic thinking around through acknowledgement, self-care and awareness.

The Mind Coach: Cara founded Effective Thoughts 9 years ago, is a vastly experienced Life Coach, Executive Coach and Group Facilitator with a real passion for facilitating self-development and positive behavioural change. Cara juggles a busy professional life with a partner, 2 young children, a dog and a lizard!

Cara will support you in becoming aware of, and making changes to, any negative barriers you may have developed in relation to your well-being as a busy Mum. Being naturally curious by how our thoughts can drive us forward or hold us back, Cara has developed very effective strategies to encourage habit change and motivation.

Reflective Writing workshop by Wild Mother

This creative writing workshop will help busy mums to release stress and explore feelings around motherhood, encourage mothers to see the value of what they are doing and to share mutual support.

The workshop host, Morgan Nichols is a Wild Mother – she was initiated into the wild mother path in 2007 when her son Jude was born. He is her live-in spiritual teacher and the reason ‘Wild Motherhood’ came about. She has been a single mother since he was two years old. Morgan is a writer, coach & mentor and yoga teacher.

Zen doodling for relaxation – Introduction to mindfulness

Zen doodling could be described as the art of meditation through doodling. Simply focusing on pen and paper and allowing your mind to calm as you repeat patterns will help calm and focus a busy mind. We will begin with simple mindful drawing exercises to get you in the flow before Jo introduces Zendoodling. You will have time to create your own mini doodle and experience how getting fully immersed in something creative can relax your mind and body. No experience is required. No artistic experience required at all. Zen doodling is all about the process and how we feel and what we discover about ourselves during this process rather than the end result.

Jo was inspired to start Joodles as she is passionate about sharing mindful ways for people to live happier, less stressful lives.

Over the years I have learnt first hand how mindfulness and self care transform difficult feelings like anxiety and sadness.

In addition to daily meditation I turn routine activities into mindful moments.

Jo has rediscovered creativity as a form of relaxation, and enjoys working with different media.

Using a calm and gentle approach I can help you towards a happier, healthier life.
