Foody Tales Kickstarter Campaign

Hi everyone,

My name is Katerina and I’m a wife, mum and counsellor, originally from Australia, but now living in lovely Devon.  I’ve just launched a Kickstarter Campaign called Foody Tales.  It’s a story and recipe book in one, with magical stories for families to share and easy recipes to prepare.  My aim is to encourage children to try new foods.  I believe that food should be enjoyable and fun and these stories of magic, love and adventure will have even the fussiest eater want to try something new and experiment with different tastes. Reading a magical tale together and then preparing the recipe will make both come alive.

When my children were much younger, I became frustrated when they began to refuse some of the meals I would cook for them, becoming increasingly fussier eaters. That’s when I came up with the idea of incorporating food and meal ideas into magical stories in order to encourage my children to experiment. My children are now grown up and my artist daughter and talented son have produced the delightful illustrations.

I believe this is a unique idea and it’s been part of my life for a very, very long time.  I’m launching it on Kickstarter to give it one final push to get it published, in order to leave a legacy for my children and perhaps to give the opportunity for some of you lovely people out there to enjoy it along the way. I also want to give something back and will donate 25% of profits to cancer research.
