I have a problem with toxic

1
I always think it’s funny the things that we say over and over in our heads which don’t quite make it out of our mouths or onto the blog, or even to an FB update.

Except for this one which had been simmering away for a few months, finally I had to guts to say what was on my mind, out loud like, and got to hear what that really sounded like.

Because sometimes you can say things over and over in your head and they sound spot on, you’re absolutely the rightest person ever! Hurrah!  Then you read it back and realise you sound like a total twat, ha!

Awkward.

So I did post with some trepidation I have to admit and I do think it’s quite vulnerable actually, to say what you REALLY think out loud, in case you just end up looking like a total idiot.

The opinion I uttered was about toxic people.  As I asked the question…is it really realistic to ’cut out’ toxic people?

Like, really?

I realised I had unlocked a pandora’s box and the Q’s just kept coming; ’and who says what’s toxic anyway?’

’Is it the behaviour that’s toxic or the person?’

’What if the person is a member of

your family?’

’They say to surround yourself with good vibes only and what if that’s just not possible?’

’Is it ever helpful to label people as toxic?’

’What if they’re just going through a hard time and the last thing they need is to be dropped like a hot potato?’

…. and so they went on…and on….

I had an overwhelming response to it (for me like 10 comments, WOO!) and I’d love to know what you feel too.

Is it realistic to cut out all negativity in our lives? and the £1M question, how do we handle it if we
