There’s the old saying everyone says when they’re trying to be helpful but can’t help.. Nothing worth having came easy’.
And boy, ain’t that the truth!
Oh, and there’s that other one by Nike – Just Do It.
I’m at the beginning of setting up a business. Not for someone else, no. My very own business. There, I said it. In black & white, and online for all to see.
I’m a midwife by trade, so its obviously a business for couples, babies, pregnant women and families. So there’s a lot to get right. Oh, and I’ll be setting up a cafe too

At the start, you have your vision. You have the passion, like enough to overwhelm everyone you talk to about it.
Everyone you talk to (yes, even those who aren’t part of your cheer-leading family and friend fan-base say its a great idea. And, a cherry on the cake; you’ve secured providers who share your same vision & want to use the space! Win. Now, I need to make sure this gets off the ground now, and ’Just Do It’.
There is a lot to do. It seems all to be about timing. Knowing the right

people, and networking. Questions for now are: When? How? and Where?
When is the right time to launch online that there’s something bubbling away? Is it when you’ve signed on the dotted line for the premises (not ticked that box yet) or, when you have some online content (in word for now). So, as some light relief, the number crunching for the business plan on the back-burner, I have got my creative on. Starting with the website and logo designs; I’m beginning to feel as though I’m making headway towards achieving this.

promising meeting at the end of the month for this social enterprise to get off the ground (between all the crazy night shifts at work), its another step closer!
If anyone(?) reading this has any experience in setting up a workshop or cafe or is intrigued, I’d be hugely interested in your pearls of wisdom and contact!
