Your arrival seemed symbolic – as you warmly hugged us all, At a time when a simple hand shake – is just too much to call. Your warmth and light so welcome – for a moment the sky is clear, Bringing optimism, albeit brief – you force a smile and allay some fear.
Our world turns on it’s axis – and that’s simply down to you, We wondered if you’d ever return – bright days have been so few.
Now days are dark and looming – in a very different way, But you turned up and gave us hope and light – some bright color amidst the grey.

up and the flowers unfurl – there is promise at every turn, Yet we know there’s strife in the days ahead and we have very much to learn.
Gratitude is swelling in every single soul – for the things we have and the people we know, And those risking life to achieve our goal.
So we sit and we wait and we do what we can in our own little ways, And we hope and we wish and we wait a bit more – for those yearnful brighter days.
