Losing control

I had been toying with the idea of joining Selfish Mother for a while but never felt confident enough to take the plunge. It’s probably the most self indulgent reason  to join but today I have lost control so felt the time was right.

Instagram and Facebook don’t give you enough space to fully offload. Also the majority of my ”friends” on them don’t have children so think being a stay at home mum means cosy days on the sofa watching Disney and drinking tea… I don’t think that has happened once!

This loss of control has been building up

for days. My son has decided his new favourite game is to play on the stairs, we live in a Victorian cottage, and when they built the house they obviously didn’t factor in that in 100 years time people would try and stop their children from throwing themselves downstairs! (How did the cope) They built them in a way that means gates do not fit or stay up. This new game is causing me no end of stress and combine that with a head cold I’ve finally lost my shit!

Pre child I swore a lot, post child I swear….more! Just now it’s more under my breath.

”For fucks sake, what the fuck is this fucking stupid game, you’re going to fucking kill yourself, fuck fucker”

So far I’ve bribed him away from the stairs with four mini Milky Way bars and tried to play fetch with him… Like a dog!! There is no control in this house today! Roll on nap time..
