Good things take time. When I wrote a quick and unedited blog post back in May, questioning where all the black mother’s were on Instagram (a sarcastic and rhetorical question only posed to highlight the lack of diversity on my timeline) I couldn’t imagine that later this year I would be involved in #MAKEMOTHERHOODIVERSE.
Whilst everyone was talking about how horrible that Mumsnet thread was (I’m in complete agreement with its disgusting tone) the only thing that really niggled away at me was how none of the most influential ‘Insta-Mum’s’

With social media prowess (seriously, hire her, Don’t Buy Her Flowers already have!) and my inability to keep quiet, the idea for the Make Motherhood Diverse Instagram was born. It would be a space where all mothers could be schooled, shine and share.
Of course it was a task that would be too big for us

alone, so with the help of the third co-founder Sarah Gregory and team members ( Sunita Harley, Motherhood_RX and Cee) we launched last week to the most amazing reception.
In less than a week we have gained over 2k followers, a lot of online coverage and our comment section is better than any weekly glossy magazine.
I couldn’t be more proud of what we have accomplished thus far and we are all really excited about the future.
