neck out Helen why don’t you! I spoke with four separate women of whom I have never been introduced to but have seen around town many times and can exchange a polite hello.
The response was amazing actually, an immediate connection, a drawing together of experience, empathy and understanding.
A feeling of relief washed over me that someone was interested, truly interested in discussing the individual feelings and daily challenge of Menopause.
I received two hugs, understanding smiles and tears from one woman.

TALK to each other.
There is no shame in feeling overwhelmed with the Menopause. It affects all women differently but there are obviously some general symptoms that most women will experience. You are not the only women struggling some days.
Yes there are drugs, yes nutrition and exercise help but really talking honestly about your experience, sharing and connecting with other women is the best tonic, a healing balm x
Some men get it! I mean they understand to a degree, I wish they did get/experience the menopause sometimes! My husband is

supportive in so many ways, however it grinds my gears when he says “you have changed” Well Nah! as my eldest daughter would say.
Women I encourage you not to expend too much of your precious energy trying to get your men to understand fully but they do need to have a basic understanding of what you are going through, poor buggers.
Nurture yourself, connect with other women going through the same empty egg basket stage of life.
So Men….especially some of you younger men who have felt the need to comment on my mental state and

general coping skills of life…… take a men O pause yourself and remember we are wise and wonderful and have raging hormones and shifts in body chemistry that can be very tough to deal with……..but when we come out the other end of this pause…… watch out…. because we will be flying fast and furious and we will leave a huge sparkly cloud of unbelievable WISDOM, joy, love, fun, laughter, creativity, bucket loads of passion, compassion, empathy, nurturing strength, adaptability, courage, determination, excitement and so much more raining down on
