MYO ‘Mama Bear’ T-Shirt

1
I live in England, so using ETSY to find super cute t-shirts for pregnant women is hard. There are so many fantastic, reasonably priced t-shirts in America but as soon as you add t

hem to your basket and go to check out, you realise that the shipping cost is twice as expensive as the shirt (irritating right). I really can’t justify the expense, so i decided to make my own. How hard can it be right?

I went to my old faithful friend, Amazon, and searched for a plain t-shirt. I found this bargain for £1.51. Yes, really! The P&P was nearly

£4, but its still pretty cheap. I ordered it and received it 3 days later. I love Amazon!

I then used my favourite banner maker ’Canva’ to create the text to put on the t-shirt. I suggest giving Canva a go, you can make so many images for social media and much more!

I am rather arty/creative anyway and my house is filled with homemade trinkets so I had previously bought some fabric transfer paper. (You can purchase this on Amazon, of course, for about £5).

The only thing when using transfer paper is you have to make sure

that you print your image flipped. This makes it so that when you transfer the image, it will be the right way (see example).

Once you have flipped the image, print it onto your transfer paper and cut around the excess paper. Place it onto your fabric and iron on, pressing down and moving for a couple of minutes being careful not to burn it. Let it cool then remove the top layer of paper, being careful not to remove the transfer.

Et voilà!

A little about myself, always scary writing these sorts of things. My name is Emma and I am a mum to a beautifully perfect little girl. My husband Simon and I recently moved (2017) into London from Surrey (yes, most people are shocked that we seem to have done it backwards, but we are originally from the Lake District and have seen enough fields and cows for now) so I am slowly learning the area and the best places for tea and cake, and a good brunch! Shout out if you live near Balham and know any good places for me to try out! Harri, the perfect little human that entered our world on the 6th January 2018 made me a mum. I cannot even put into words what love I feel for the little cutie pie. I have a site called Mummy Moo. The name 'Mummy Moo' comes from the nickname that my husband and I have for one another. He started to moo like a cow when I was being a moody cow and it always made me laugh. Ever since, we have called one another Moo. Now we have Harri, she is our mini Moo. https://emmalouisefoste.wixsite.com/mummymoo
