I tend to moan a bit about being a stay at home mum.  I wonder also if my blogs are a bit on the negative side.  I don’t think it’s ever crossed my mind to write about lovely days out we’ve spent as a family exploring London, or the times when I’ve laid in bed next to my daughter and felt truly soothed just listening to her breathing (because I do know how lucky I am).  Yes there are plenty of good bits don’t get me wrong, it just seems a bit smug to share that sort of thing – a bit like those annoying people on Facebook who only share

a whole lot better about being a mum by reading the REAL TRUTH!  Had it not been for the likes of Katie Kirby, Anna Whitehouse, and Sarah Turner I might have thought it was a bit weird to have to refer to my daughter ONLY as Queen Elsa of Arendelle in order to stand a chance of getting her ready for pre-school on time.  Or I might have had cause for concern that she likes to unpack my sanitary pads and wallpaper the bedroom mirror (I just let her crack on, gives me more time to spend on Facebook).  But no, this is all perfectly fine! I used to be a boring civil servant, now I'm mum to a 'sparky' 2 year old daughter and a novice blogger. On the side I enjoy large vodkas and riding on the back of my husband's cool motorcycle (although not necessarily at the same time!).
