Painful packing and a British Holiday

I literally feel like I have spent a week preparing for a week away, what is that about?! With a baby, toddler and husband to get ready here is my holiday countdown….

10. You wash all the clothes and then husband and child choose to wear the clothes just before you depart, and you wash them again

9. It rains so said clothes have to be dried inside or in the tumble dryer, in the commotion you tumble dry your new nice top

8. You have to hunt down all waterproofs from the very safe place you put them, why do you need waterproofs in June? Oh yes because wisely you are going on a staycation in the UK

7. The once ‘spare’ back seat of the car is now filled with an extra human and therefore you have invested in a roof box, very grown up. Said roof box needs to be put on the car….this will be interesting

6. You may be running around trying to get everything ready but priorities mean wine was bought and packed over a week ago

5. Toddler finds all new holiday ‘things’ and proceeds to open them. Including the rubber ring for the pool which it is suggested might work well in the bath

4. You decide it would be lovely to have a clean house to come home to….and spend a day like a mentalist giving the house a spring clean amongst the washing and packing

3. You pile stuff up in the hallway and realise even with the roof box it’s unlikely to fit so start working out what you don’t need (l literally do need everything though)

2. You have arranged an online shop for when you arrive but still have three bags of food

1. You realise that you will probably need a holiday to get over the holiday
