Positive words: suprisingly powerful in the pandemic

One of my favourite things to do is to encourage people. It is so much fun. I love the look on people’s faces when I tell them what a great job they’ve done and how much they mean to me. In the work place I noticed how much it brightened someone’s day. Their face would lift and eyes light up. They physically start to glow, and then they grow. But I had to be nice a lot for people to believe it, and take it in. respond negatively, with stress to negative words. Well, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see we have been overwhelmed with negative words over the last three months. All of which propel our brain into action, increasing anxiety. To overcome this negativity, we must consciously generate and repeat as many positive thoughts as we can.

Her advice: choose your words wisely and speak them slowly. Just repeating positive words like love, peace, and compassion turns on genes that lower your physical and emotional stress. So, me and my friend Lindsay got to thinking about how helpful it would be to have positive words on a mug. A mug is with you wherever you are, at the kitchen table, your desk, even by your bed. You see it multiple times a day. Positive words that can change your mind, thoughts and actions. Words that create worlds, and have the power to make things happen. There is power in words. What you say is what you get.[1] We even found research showing that

So, despite having full time jobs, two kids each and more than enough life for us to handle, Lindsay and I took the plunge and started a business with the aim of putting a “love mug” in every home. We know the power of words, and that having them with you whenever you need it, makes a difference on a good day, and especially a down day. This has been so true during the pandemic. look at the market place – and our website. And while I’d love you to buy a mug – it doesn’t cost you a penny to say something positive to someone you love and make their day. How can you change people’s day, week, life with the words you choose? Can you make the people you love light up, glow and grow this week? And what words will you choose to help you navigate your week?

You may be surprised at how powerful they are.

Hey! I’m Julie and it’s great to be here. Allow me to introduce myself. I’m positive, creative and could be described as a little over-excited about the things and people I love – my family, friends, cups of tea, coffee, and, OK, I admit it, a glass of bubbles every now and then.
