Remember You
Remember you like yesterday
Remember how it was
To have you hold me by the hand
No reason, just because
Remember how you used to laugh
Remember all we shared
I see now what it really meant
To know how much you cared
Remember hearing your advice
Remember how I felt
I shrugged it off not thinking of
The cards that would be dealt
Remember you began to fade
Each thought became a fear
I knew that it would not be long
Then you’d be far from here
Remember you like yesterday
Today means nothing more
Than grief for
