Here is a little list for your Saturday.
A list of the brilliant new words and phrases made up by my toddler whilst she is trying to learn the real versions.
The soft toy flamingo = Femelo
Spaghetti bolognese = Betty Bolognese
Computer (including iPads, laptops etc) = Pooter
Days of the week and months of the year = Months of the each
Piano (aka plastic keyboard) = Tiano
Chocolate = chot-lat (said in the style of Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins)
Maggots = the maggins (long story)
Tomatoes = Martos
And my favourite:
Chicken

pox = Pockens
I would love to hear about your experiences of new words invented by the small people in your world.
Who knows, maybe there will one day be a special dictionary understood only by toddlers.
