So…I’m new in town

So here we are nearly 4 weeks in to the rollercoaster ride that is parenthood, and I can safely say that more has been learnt in this short space of time than 16 years of education and 8 years of teaching has EVER provided!

My world now revolves around sterilising, feeding, nappies, keeping track of feeds/nappy changes via handy apps that I may be slightly obsessed with…And organisation boards on pinterest. *note to self-this level of organisation will take years. organised. One step at a time!
Because I have learnt so much over the last 4 weeks (and apparently forgotten an equal amount…many apologies for the appalling grammar) I want to share with mums my top 5 things you ought to know:

a good waterproof one, it can stay on gor a good couple of days. One less job to do.
3. Nobody cares if you haven’t dusted for three weeks. Really. They won’t check. You’ll be the only one that knows.
4. Crying is ok. Even if it feels hysterical, it probably isn’t really. Just a healthy release. It’s normal. (I celebrated my 30th birthday, just after giving birth, came down stairs to a living room full of people and went straight back up to bed to cry. Nobody minded!)
5. You are doing a brilliant job. No matter how crap you feel. You’redoing wsy

better than you think you are. Just keep telling yourself that.
So keep being amazing, and take one day at a time.

P.s.
5.1 you really do get used to less sleep!!
