I read a post on Facebook the other day, it was from a girl I went to school with, she had just had her third baby and it was a message to a group of her mummy friends to thank them for the support over a few issues she was struggling with. This made me think, have I ever said thank you? when I sit and think about it I have so much to be thankful for.
lets start with mummy friends, for me there were a few I was friends with before I had lily, I would see these mummy friends in tesco or a crazy night out (pre baby) now nights of craziness consist of

These women I can confide in, tell them all about my parenting drama, and have them there to celebrate with me in mile stones of my child’s achevement and I do the same with their beautiful children.
Then I would like to thank my none parent friends, the ones that stuck around through tears, guilt, repeat questions of am I Doing this right? I mean they could have cut and run 3 years ago, but they stuck around listened to me and watched me change my life. Turned up with bottles, dummies, pants when I needed bigger ones because

my c-section ment my tummy was sore. But most of all wine they always brought wine. Now when then turn up they talk, laugh and listen to my nearly 3 year old, even after a long day at work or if they have had a fight with there boyfriend or husband, lily can make them smile.
The new friends, these are the ones I meet at the nursery gate, at the shop, at soft play the familer face that says hello, not just to me but my daughter, my husband. A hello turns into a quick chat and a kind word always goes along way.
