I wrote my first post on Friday lunchtime whilst the boys were napping and we were having a boiler replaced directly above them, they slept for 2 hours!!Total miracle I thought, or perhaps the banging and clanging was reassuring to them in the same way they now sleep so much better together than they ever did apart…
The response to my post first was pretty mind blowing, comment after comment women from across the country spouted their cherub’s age gaps, many 12 months and under and many with multiples under the ages of 3, 4 and 5 – these women

are superhuman! It really goes to show no matter how isolated your circumstances may make you feel there just might be someone out there going through the exact same thing. What impressed me most was the number or women who just spoke about ’getting on with it’ and ’taking it in their stride’ I’m a thinker, I overthink everything and we are routined to death (to the point we plan outings around nap time) I sometimes wonder if this is restricting us but the fact it means I get my evenings together with my husband (obviously once the washing,

ironing, cleaning blah blah blah is done) and we can sit down together to eat tea and have a glass of wine / cup of hot chocolate and for that alone I would not trade. He is my rock and has kept me sane over a very bumpy couple of years, my admiration for single parents has no limits – that is a whole new ball game.
I just wanted to thank everyone for their comments but mostly to the lady who said it was a reassuring read, that’s all I wanted to put out there as I found it so hard to find… big loves ladies you are all incredible. Off to walk JD
