5 New Experiences When You Become a Mother

1

My tiny humans have given me a life I would never have thought possible. I have
found that being a mother is not like any other experience you can go through.

#1 Equipment Needed to Care For Your Baby
You start by filling your house with items that are almost impossible to put
together even with instructions. You have to figure out what your baby will sleep
in, and that is no small task. There are several different kinds and sizes of cribs,
baby bassinet, and co-sleepers. Each is assembled differently and used
differently as

well.
There is a long list of swings, chairs, rockers, high chairs, and play mats that
require instructions similar to defusing a bomb.

#2 Getting These Items
Many stores have a baby registry that help expecting mothers let their friends
and family know what they still need for their baby. You walk into the store, and
the registry department hands you a gun to scan the barcodes on everything you
want.
Or you can go online and make a list without having to be subjected to the
awkward moments encountered during your last couple of months

pregnancy. This is an easy way to sit back, relax, and get a good look at
everything you might want or need once your baby arrives. Once your registry is
put together, you send links to your loved ones to buy you what you need.

#3 A New Perspective on Daily Tasks
Once your bundle of joy arrives, you begin to realize things are harder to do
around your house. One saving grace I discovered is a baby carrier. As you are
cleaning your house, cooking food, or running errands, you wear your baby
against your chest. Your baby sleeps against you,

and you get your chores done.
Once your little one begins to scream, it becomes very difficult to let them sit
there and cry. Having a carrier is a great way to comfort your baby and yourself.

Chores may still be hard to get done, but you do not have to worry about your
baby laying alone and crying in another room.

#4 Feeding Time
Before your tiny human even arrives, you are forced to figure out how to feed
them. Do you use a bottle, breast, do you use formula, and what kind of formula
is best? As if having someone else’s life in your hands

was not enough stress to
deal with, right? They say that ’breast is best,’ but only you will know what is best
for your child.
You get caught up in making sure that there is enough nutrition introduced into
your little one’s diet. When do you introduce solid foods or water? The questions
you run through in your head come out to any person who you believe is willing
to help you out. It is up to you and your baby though.

#5 Getting Dressed
If you enjoy dressing yourself up, then you are going to love discovering new
clothes to put on your

baby. Whether you have a boy or a girl, there is a variety
of clothing for all seasons. You spend each morning picking an outfit for yourself
and your little mini.
In the colder months, you spend your time worrying that you have enough layers
on your baby. The warmer months allow for the cute dresses or the bright pair of
shorts that caught your eye. You would not even hesitate to let them run around
in only a diaper.

Even though having a child changes your life exponentially, you would not trade
a second of the craziness. My kids have enriched

my life completely.
