I am not a good mother.

Motherhood is a journey like NO other.

It pushes boundaries like NO other.

It evokes emotion like NO other.

It exhausts you like NO other.

It has you doubting yourself like NO other.

I am on some days a mother I am proud of.

I am on some days a mother I am ashamed of.

I am full of love, full of fear, full of questions and full of insecurities.

I am navigating a path that constantly changes.

I am trying so hard to not wish the time away, and enjoy every moment.

I am enjoying moments and equally wishing the time away.

growing, evolving, learning, overwhelmed and insignificant.

I am NOT a good mother as much as I am NOT a bad mother.

I’m a ’doing the best I can’ MOTHER.

I am a MOTHER, I cannot be simplistically defined by good or bad, instead I will be kind to myself and allow all that motherhood brings, all the really tough tough times, AND all the celebrations that remind me that it’s the most incredible journey that is scarily unpredictable and completely undefinable.
