Selfish or Self Care?

It’s my birthday this week. Every other year since the Bear Cub came along, we’ve had a lovely family day out. This year, I’m going to a spa. With my husband. No Bear Cub.

The Bear Cub will be going to nursery as per usual, and myself and Daddy Bear will be heading off to a Spa for the day. So, is this Selfish or Self Care?

Since becoming a mother, I sometimes feel that I am only Mummy or Wife. I almost forget sometimes that I am ME! So that is why there is a change this year. We will still have a lovely family weekend to celebrate me being

another year dangerously close to the big 40, and there will be cake and candles after nursery, but for 8 hours tomorrow, I will be ME. I will be pampered, fed, watered (or champagned hopefully!) and I will return back to my Bear Cub well rested.

What are your thoughts? Am I being selfish or am I doing the best for myself and my family by taking some time out? Selfish or Self Care?

Selfish or Self Care?

We will still have a lovely family weekend to celebrate me being another year dangerously close to the big 40, and there will be cake and candles after nursery, but for 8 hours tomorrow, I will be ME. I will be pampered, fed, watered (or champagned hopefully!) and I will return back to my Bear Cub well rested.

What are your thoughts? Am I being selfish or am I doing the best for myself and my family by taking some time out? Selfish or Self Care?
